in a tight spot

Apparently my books are WAY more interesting than Eli's. I couldn't find him anywhere in the house when suddenly I hear him 'reading' out loud to himself here, behind the rocking chair that's pressed tightly against the bookshelf, so at least I thought.

Hmm...there's no words on that page buddy, but I'm glad you have a wonderful imagination!

Another time, I found him trying to pull every block out from in between the coffee table and the wall.

Kids are so funny. I love their creativity and their drive to get to something that seems impossible! I can't WAIT to see what else he tries to get to in the future :)

This is a random photo, but I baked my 1st batch of cinnamon rolls last night. I was very excited as baking with yeast can be scary! I spaced on taking a picture of the after-baked product, but I can say they turned out good as they're half way gone now :)

I hope you are all inside cozy & warm as it's chilly around here! Snowing, in fact. A delightful unexpected treat. Happy Sunday to you :)

cookies & milk

Eli had his first chocolate chip cookie & milk.

I think he liked it :) just like daddy!!

We had a visit from friends recently! Eli really enjoys playing with Keaton & Reid. They're so much fun!!

Can't wait for the next time to play!!

something new

Justin & I are super excited! We've finally gotten our stuff together, computer & programs updated, mics purchased and now we're ready to start having some fun recording music at home!!

I went to school for 1 year for Digital Audio Engineering and decided not to go that route professionally (and the fact the school was too expensive & I couldn't afford it anymore!) however, the desire to continue recording as a hobby is alive & well!

It will be a LOOOONG time till I feel comfortable sharing any of my stuff with anyone-it's really scary and I never knew how vulnerable of a thing it is sharing your music with others, but I'm excited to get a little out of my shell and see how it goes :)
