Toes in the grass

Eli had is first step in the grass a few weeks ago.

He tickled his toes a bit, but wasn't sure what to make of it :)

my friend Katie Drovdahl tagged me for sharing 10 random things about myself...so here goes! ( sorry I took so long Katie :) happy reading!

one: I like washing and detailing my car myself...my dad would never let us take our cars to a car wash. Instead, he showed us how to do it ourselves :) thanks dad!

two: I cannot sleep in a room if a second hand is ticking on a clock. I will remove the clock and put it in a different room...far, far away.

three: I'm terrible at finishing things...books, sewing projects, house projects you name it.

four: I get really nervous when I have to sing in front of people (not like leading worship, but performing) I pretty much remove myself.

five: I was in a band for a short stint called J's bridges...you guessed it-everyone in the band had a name that started with a 'J'.

six: I immediately go the other direction when someone begins a sentence with 'you should do...' or 'why don't you...' I dislike those phrases. It's like they're trying to impose themselves on you or tell you what to do. I guess I never really like to be told what to do ;) huh dad!

seven: I love falling asleep on the couch to the sound of either football or basketball on the t.v. my dad and I did this a lot when I was a kid.

eight: I've been told that I laugh a lot at commercials...I guess it's true. So many people mute commercials these days or they have tevo, and I think they miss out sometimes on some really great, hysterically funny commercials.

nine: I have a bad memory, so I like buying movies; I can watch them over and over again and still get the same affect as when I watched it the first time!

ten: I talk in my sleep. my sister told me so one time. now, my husband says I sing little children songs in my sleep. oh boy.

well, not so random, but you probably know more about me now than you did before.

The first bite

We introduced rice cereal to Eli this past weekend. It was pretty funny.






I think he enjoyed it! He was so cute, the way he would open his mouth when the spoon got close. Good job little man! He's growing so fast, I can't believe it!

Tahoe

Justin, Eli & I had a great time at Lake Tahoe with Justin's parents, Cris & Suzanne. Every year, Justin and his dad like to skate ski at The Great Ski Race. It starts at Lake Tahoe and ends in Truckee. I think it's about 25 miles? anyway FAR! so, they have a great time together sweating it out together through the hills and snow!! Good job guys!!

A Dog Park Kinda Day

Eli, the dogs and I made a trip out to Marymore.

The sky was crazy that day! The sun was out briefly and then came the clouds. So beautiful, but chilly.



Some how that didn't matter to the dogs...swimming was on the agenda.



Great Danes are so majestic! But apparently not to Conner. We had to leave as he was trying to pick a fight with them. Seriously!
